She Persisted

She read a letter written by Senator Ted Kennedy.

He told her to play nice.

She read a letter written by Coretta Scott King.

He told her to shut up.

She was called for the foul and kicked out of the game.

As Senator Schumer says here, it was an example of a double standard, of selective enforcement, of an interruption and silencing of speech, and the only violation of the spirit of mutual respect and comity of the senate that occurred last night.

 

Stand with Elizabeth Warren. Say no to Jeff Sessions.

I hope I’ve taught my daughters that sometimes the foul is worth it.
