Let’s Dance

Things have been a tad bit busy around these parts. Lake. Cape. Weddings. Life. Etcetera.

There is a backlog of things I would like to write about on this blog. I’ll get there, eventually.

This post will focus on a wedding – my niece Lauren’s and her new husband Craig’s.

As you can see, she was beautiful.

Bride

My daughters, all bridesmaids, were also beautiful.

Bridesmaids

Meagan was maid of honor since she and Lauren have been close friends for quite some time.

Role Reversal

Role Reversal

The festivities started the night before with the rehearsal dinner and continued early the next day with hair and makeup.

Even before the wedding started, they were a little tired.

(Yes, I yelled at Heather.)

They got their second wind though. They danced, and danced, and danced. I had never seen the three of them quite like this before. It’s hard to describe. Maybe party mode? Definitely completely carefree and happy. For hours. Mother’s don’t usually get to party with their daughters, so I had fun watching them out on the dance floor all night.

Even my mother-in-law danced for hours, despite 4 or 5 knee replacements. (I’ve lost count.)

Nana and Kids

They even got me out on the dance floor for a tiny bit.

Dave and Me

Everyone had fun.

A beautiful bride. A beautiful wedding party. A beautiful wedding. A beautiful day.

Best wishes to Lauren and Craig in their life together.
