Grown Ups

My youngest turned 18 today.

Last night she discovered there was no school today (I’m not quite sure why this was a surprise to her), so she asked if it was okay to have a few girls over.

Yes, occasionally the yard still gets some use.

After practicing the powder puff dance came carving of pumpkins.

 And a birthday cake and presents at 9:45 when she got home from her soccer game.

I guess this means my kids are all grown up.

Believe it or not, that fact has been sinking into my head to a certain extent for quite some time.

And theirs too.

But probably not to the extent that some people think it needs to.
